WATERTOWN - Watertown businesses Angels Watching Over You and Alves Precision Engineered Products were recognized by the Small Business Council of the Waterbury Regional Chamber at the Harold Webster Smith Awards Breakfast, Thursday, January 20.

Angels Watching Over You earned the small business of the year award, while Alves Precision Engineered Products earned the manufacturer of the year award.

Also recognized at the breakfast was J and L Medical Services, LLC, as entrepreneur of the year.

Speaker at the breakfast included Congresswoman Nancy Johnson, R-5, C. Robert Zelinger, Esq., chairman of the Waterbury Regional Chamber board; James C. Smith, chairman and CEO of Webster Back, and Ron Gallant, chairman of the Small Business Council.

Making the awards presentations were Robert J. Kane, Al Vagnini and George LaCapra. The awards breakfast was established by the Small Business Council to recognize companies that have shown achievement and excellence in small business.

The Chamber hosts the program to honor the legacy of Harold Webster Smith, founder of Webster Bank, who supported and nurtured small business development in the region.
